A FEW WORDS

ABOUT VIV

The interpretation of the human form is central to my practice. My exhibitions are often based on themes referencing both the environment and historical art works or cultures. Ceramics has been the media of choice in my sculpture work. Nevertheless, I have at times translated my work into bronze. In 2013 I did a sculpture and mould-making residency in Jingdezhen in China. Much of my practice involves making moulds of my solid clay forms before realising the finished sculpture via press moulding or slip casting.
